Reconnecting with one's own children

Image
Your daddy may not be around you due to any circumstances, but he always loves you. Only a parent can feel the situation when it comes to reconnecting with one’s own children. Revolving around the life of a morbidly obese English teacher, the movie The Whale depicts the complexity of human suffering. Brendan Fraser delivers an outstanding performance as Charlie, a man who is struggling with his weight and the aftermath of a tragic event in his life. Directed by Darren Aronofsky and written by Samuel D. Hunter, the movie's pacing is slow but deliberate, giving the audience ample time to connect with the characters and their emotions. The movie's ending is cathartic, leaving the audience with a sense of hope and closure. Takeaway thoughts: People are amazing. Be kind to them.     Humans come first. Respect their decisions about their personal lives.     Do not judge people as you may not know what they are going through. --- Check out our services: Write a press release or a blo

The reality of being in an abusive relationship

Image
Some people change when they realise what’s not right; others may never change. If you’re going through an abusive relationship, give your partner a chance by recommending a read It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. It’s a heart-wrenching yet empowering story that addresses the issue of domestic violence poignantly.  The novel follows the life of a young woman who falls in love with a successful neurosurgeon. Their relationship takes a dark turn when the husband’s anger issues start to surface.  Hoover does an excellent job of tackling a sensitive issue with grace and sensitivity, making it a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the complexities of domestic violence.  My favourite excerpts from the novel:  All humans make mistakes. What determines a person’s character aren’t the mistakes we make. It’s how we take those mistakes and turn them into lessons rather than excuses.   It’s not a person’s actions that hurt the most. It’s the love. If there was no love attached to the act

Press releases in this age

Press releases have been an essential tool for public relations and media professionals for many years, and they continue to be a valuable means of communicating news to the media and the public. However, in recent years, the media landscape has changed. In the past, it was common for media professionals in Pakistan to earn over 10 hits per press release in mainstream media. However, with the decrease in advertising revenue, media outlets have limited space for press releases, making it more challenging to get coverage.  As a result, organisations need to ensure that their press releases are newsworthy and can attract the media outlet's audience. Even a single hit in the mainstream media is considered a success, and organisations can maximise their coverage by sharing it on their social media channels and through internal email and WhatsApp communications.  It's also important to understand that getting zero coverage is not a failure. By conveying the news to mainstream media j
